Well, I made it through another family trip. It was insane, as always. My siblings were on my nerves. We went off course a couple of times, and then there was that hilarious incident at that tourist trap.
I'm exhausted, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. We have stories to tell.

My laptop is officially silenced/turned off/put away. Emails can wait until I get back. Social media will just have to do without me. If you need me, leave a message on my answering machine/in a bottle/with the voicemail fairies. Otherwise, consider this your official notification/warning/reminder: I'm out of office/gone fishin'/living my best life and will be back eventually.

Sometimes, the best/ideal/perfect escape isn't a place/location/spot at all. It's a state of mind/feeling/perception.
